Loongson Technology was founded in 2008. General-purpose processors are fundamental components of the information industry and serve as the core devices in electronic equipment. General-purpose processors are one of the strategic industries that directly impact a nation's destiny. Their development is closely related to a country's technological innovation capability, national security, and core interests. Loongson Technology focuses on the national informationization construction needs and international information technology frontier. With innovation-driven development as the theme, industrial development as the main line, and system construction as the goal, we adhere to independent innovation and comprehensively master computer core technologies such as CPU instruction systems, processor IP cores, and operating systems. We aim to build an independent and open software and hardware ecosystem and information industry system. We provide independent, secure, and reliable processors for national strategic needs and high-performance, low-cost processors and basic software and hardware solutions for the innovation and development of the information industry. Loongson Technology's main business is the research, development, sales, and services of processors and related chips. Our primary products and services include processors, related chip products, and basic software and hardware solution businesses. Currently, based on the information system and industrial control system, we are carrying out industrial ecological construction. We maintain comprehensive market cooperation with partners in areas such as network security, office and business informationization, industrial control, and the Internet of Things. Our series of products have been widely applied in various industries, including e-government, energy, transportation, finance, telecommunications, and education. In 2001, the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences began the development of Loongson processors, receiving strong support from the CAS Knowledge Innovation Project, as well as projects such as 863, 973, and the National High-Tech Research and Development Program. After ten years of technological accumulation, in 2010, with joint investment and support from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Beijing Municipal Government, Loongson began market-oriented operations and industrialization of the achievements in Loongson processor research and development.
